What advice do you have for Harvard undergraduates?
Start your freshman year without any preconceived notions about yourself or others. Give yourself room to try activities, academic studies, and internships that you had not considered before. If you are lucky enough to find your passion amidst this exploration, then hold onto it! Ignore the noise around you, and do not question your dreams based on what everyone else is pursuing.

Working as an analyst at Dalberg Global Development Advisors.

What advice do you have for Harvard undergraduates?
Think critically about what you want to do before starting the recruiting process. This will help you narrow down the number of firms to apply to and save you a lot of time otherwise spent interviewing. It is also easier to convince a recruiter why you want to work for their firm after you have already convinced yourself.

Do not be influenced by what internships/fellowships/clubs people are doing around you. You’ve worked hard to get to Harvard, allow yourself to do and pursue what you are passionate about and go on your own timeline.

What advice do you have for Harvard undergraduates?
Be aware of the way that you are measuring success – don’t drive forward relentlessly toward goals that you might not endorse upon more critical reflection. Do a few points on your GPA mean more to you than a meaningful conversation over dinner? Will you regret acing a class but not getting to know the professor? Attempt to live deliberately, and kindly.

What will you be doing?
I’ll be working in the Securities practice of National Economic Research Associates (NERA), an economic consulting firm that is currently working on litigation concerning the financial crisis.

What advice do you have for Harvard undergraduates?
Listen to and engage with your peers. The most rewarding personal and academic experiences I’ve had at Harvard come from trying to understand the different backgrounds and viewpoints of my fellow students; it’s hard to overestimate the importance of this human connection.

What advice do you have for Harvard undergraduates?
I would tell Harvard undergraduates to apply for everything they think they might be interested in, and trust that something will work out in the end, even if it feels super stressful in the beginning.

What will you be doing?
I will be serving as a Corps Member with City Year Boston! I’ll be tutoring, mentoring, and assistant teaching in one of the many Boston Public Schools that City Year partners with.

What advice do you have for Harvard undergraduates?
Stop and look around you – the people surrounding you are some of the coolest individuals alive, so get to know them! I know for a fact that I have learned just as much, if not more, from conversations with my friends in the dhall as I have learned in lecture (but still go to lecture, you’ll learn important things there too!).

Analyst at McKinsey & Co., interested in development, financial services, infrastructure, and healthcare.

What advice do you have for Harvard undergraduates?
As soon as the semester starts, it’s one commitment after another, but make time to do two things. 1) Ask yourself: If I could solve one problem in the world, which would give me the most satisfaction? What kind of work doesn’t seem like work? What kinds of people do I like to be around and make me a better person? Am I doing something because I am complacent or because I actively want it? 2) Get to know someone new every week, be it a peer, a tutor, or a professor. For one hour each, take a genuine interest in someone else. I promise you will learn so much.
